Finding a parking space in Finsbury Park with Stashbee starts when you enter the postcode or location into the widget at the top of this page. Hit the search button and you’ll see pages of listings to choose from in a jiffy.
If you have a very specific idea about what you’re looking for, have a play around with the “features” filter. Once you’ve found the winning listing (and worked out how long you’ll be renting the space), select your start date and hit enter.
Some bookings will need manual approval from potential Hosts, while instant booking listings will confirm your request right away.
Before the request is sent off, you’ll be asked to add your payment details. If you entered your debit or credit card information to your profile when you first signed up, you won’t be prompted to do so again.
The funds for your booking are kept in your account and you’ll only be charged once the final confirmation has been emailed to you. Payments for long-term or repeat bookings are typically charged the day before the new month (or booking term) kicks off.
The Stashbee team jumped straight into action when the first lockdown hit, finding new ways to improve health and safety guidelines across the board. Our goal continues to be keeping Hosts and Guests safe and comfortable at all times.
We’ve created a COVID-19 updates page to keep the momentum going, and to address any health and safety concerns. This includes providing information about virtual introductions between Hosts and Guests, sharing additional cleaning tips for Hosts, as well as offering improved booking flexibility to make it easier to change plans as a result of pandemic-related snags.
Keeping Your Space Safe
On top of being pandemic-savvy, the Stashbee team has also taken all the necessary precautions to make renting a parking space in Finsbury Park as safe and secure as possible. This includes deposit, booking and payment protections designed to put the hearts and minds of Guests and Hosts at ease.
Although it’s more likely to be included in a storage space rental, parking space Hosts might ask for a security deposit along with the first booking fee. The full amount is shown on the listing, and we promise that there won’t be any hidden costs for you to worry about later.
Your deposit is 100% secure (and will be returned straight to your account if all goes well during the booking). All transactions with Stashbee are handled by Stripe, our expert cashless payment provider of choice.
Certain booking protections have been put in place to settle any nerves you might have about leaving your car in a new location. All Hosts go through a verification process to make sure they’re legitimate - in fact, they can’t even publish a new listing if they haven’t proved their identity first.
Both parties will also need to sign the Stashbee Booking Terms before their first real-world interaction. This sets expectations for the rental agreement and helps to kick things off on equal footing.
Our storage space rentals are insured for up to £1000, but parking space rentals with Stashbee are not insured. Remember to get those car insurance papers up to date before you head to your Host’s house.
The Stashbee support team is always on hand to answer questions about how your payments are protected. You can speak to an actual human being during office hours on the phone, or drop us an email if that’s easier.
Doing either will lead you to hear more about Stripe, our cashless payment provider, that manages transactions and personal data on our behalf. They keep sensitive personal information secure in their digital vaults, never to be shared with third parties.
Remember that we can’t be much help if you don’t keep all your transactions with Hosts inside the Stashbee platform. If so, you won’t be covered under our Booking Terms or standard Terms and Conditions. This is not ideal, especially in the unlikely event that you and your Host hit a bit of a rocky patch.
It’s possible to park inside Finsbury Park,as long as you stick to one of the controlled parking zones (CPZs) and their operation hours. There are privately-owned car parks in the area too, but these usually charge expensive day rates, especially on event days. Speaking of events — the Finsbury Park car park is always closed if there is a major event happening in the area on any given day, such as concerts in the park or football matches at the nearby Arsenal stadium.
Whether you’re a resident or a visitor to the area, cars in marked parking bays in one of the CPZs always need to display a valid parking permit. These bays are operational from 8:30am to 6:30pm from Mondays to Saturdays, and noon to 4:30pm on Sundays.
You’ll be happy to learn that you do have a small window where parking in a CPZ in Finsbury Park won’t cost you a cent. Parking is free of charge during each of the eight bank holidays in the UK every year. The rest of the year — especially when you use the RingGo service — it will set you back up to £3.30 per hour.
If you would prefer to pay a flat fee upfront, with 24 hour access to a parking bay that won’t cost you as much per hour in the long run, the Stashbee platform was made for you.
Whether you’re a first time user or have been using the platform for a long time, we’re always here to answer any questions you may have.
