Referral Program Terms and Conditions

These Referral Program Terms and Conditions (“Referral Program Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “your”, the “User”, the “Host” or the “Renter”) and Stashbee Ltd, whose registered company number is 09950111 (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Company”) which governs your use of this website (the “Website”) and our services.

Capitalised terms will have the same meaning as they do in the Terms and Conditions unless otherwise defined in this policy.

Application

These Referral Program Terms set out the terms on which we intend to pay you fees for referring new users to Stashbee. They apply to you as soon as you first use the Website, and you are deemed to have agreed to be bound by them upon your first use of the Website. If you do not wish to continue to be bound by these Terms, you can decline them by closing your Stashbee account.

Relationship to Other Agreements

In addition to these Referral Program Terms, the Stashbee Terms and Conditions apply to you and everyone else who uses the Website. A Privacy Policy also sets out details of how your personal data will be used.

Structure of Referral Fees

From time to time, we may have in place arrangements by which we pay you referral fees (“Referral Fees”) for referring Users to Stashbee (“Referral Program”).

Currently, we have one Referral Fee scheme in place:

Renter Referrals

Referral Fees that we pay when you (the “Referring User”) refer first-time Renters (“Referred Renters”) who make their first Booking on the platform. The day the Referred Renter’s first Booking is confirmed is the ‘Referral Activation Date’.

Referred Renters who have signed up using a valid referral link will receive £20 off their first monthly rolling Booking at the time of making the first payment for their Booking. This will be applied in the form of credit which will be automatically deducted at checkout. Referred Renters will be attributed upon the most recent Referring User’s invite.

Referring Users will receive a £20 Referral Fee fourteen (14) days after the Referral Activation Date. The Referral Fee will be paid out to the payment method specified in the Referring User’s dashboard on the Website.

Hourly Bookings are currently excluded from the Renter Referral scheme.

To participate in the Renter Referral scheme, Referring Users must agree to these Referral Program Terms. The Referral Program may not be combined with other Stashbee promotional campaigns or incentives.

When you refer a Referred Renter, they will see your Stashbee profile on the landing page for your referral link.

Referring Users can earn a maximum of ten (10) new referrals per calendar month, based on the Referral Activation Date. The limit of ten referrals applies to the combined total of referrals earned across the two schemes.

Exceptions

Our Referral Program is intended to encourage you to refer genuinely new Users to Stashbee. We, therefore, reserve the right to refuse to pay Referral Fees for:

Bookings made by current or former Stashbee Renters;
Bookings made by a Referred Renter who has the same address as the Referring User;
Bookings made by the same person who has created multiple Referred Renter accounts using different email addresses;
Bookings where a Referred Renter has booked the space of a Host who referred them to Stashbee;
Bookings that get cancelled by the Referred Renter before the Booking has been successfully completed and the Host has received a payout for the Booking.

The above list is not exhaustive, and we reserve the right to refuse to pay Referral Fees in instances where we believe that payment of Referral Fees would not be consistent with the purpose of this Referral Program or that the Referring User may have abused the program.

This includes but is not limited to posting your unique referral code on any public forums or communities, or distributing your unique referral code in connection with the marketing of a campaign on the Stashbee platform.

Whether a Referral Fee is due shall be a decision made in the sole discretion of Stashbee. Stashbee reserves the right to any remedy, including denial of payment or cancellation of your account, if fraud, tampering or other violations of Stashbee’s Terms and Conditions or these Referral Program Terms are suspected.

Termination

Stashbee may terminate your participation in the Referral Program at any time, for any reason or no reason. The rights and obligations of the parties under these Referral Program Terms will survive the expiration or termination of this agreement.

Use of the Referral Dashboard

You agree that you will not use the referral dashboard (found within your account) for any purpose other than tracking your own progress and the progress of others in your geographic area. You will respect the privacy of others and comply with applicable laws.

Severability

We have made every effort to ensure that these Referral Fee Terms adhere strictly with the relevant provisions of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and other applicable laws. However, in the event that any of these provisions are found to be unlawful, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, that provision is to be deemed severed from these Referral Fee Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining Referral Fee Terms. This clause on "Severability" shall apply only within jurisdictions where a particular term is illegal.

No Waiver

In the event that either you or we fail to exercise any right or remedy contained in these Referral Program Terms, that does not mean you or we (as applicable) have waived that right or remedy and so shall not be construed as a waiver.

Revisions

From time to time we may update these Referral Program Terms to take account of changes in the law or for any other reason. If we update these Referral Program Terms, we will post a new version on the Website, and as soon as you use the Website after they are posted, you will be deemed to have agreed to the updated version, but you will still be bound by the terms of any previous versions to which you have agreed or been deemed to agree. If there is a conflict between two versions of the Referral Program Terms to which you have agreed or been deemed to agree, the more recent version shall take precedence unless it is expressly stated otherwise.

Choice of Law

These Referral Program Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Jurisdiction

You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This means that if you want to bring a legal action against us, or we want to bring a legal action against you, it must be done in one of these courts.
