Less than a fifth of new homes in London come with a parking space, so it’s no surprise that long-term parking is in high demand.

Yet for the people who do have their very own parking space, not all of them have their own car to park in it. That’s where we come in!

Here at Stashbee, we’ve been working hard to make sure parking headaches are a thing of the past. With thousands of drivers looking for long-term parking, we couldn’t think of anything worse than driveways and private parking spaces sitting empty. That’s why we’re busy connecting Hosts with spare parking spaces with Guests who need somewhere to park their car for the long term.

Read on to find out everything you need to know about renting a long-term parking space.

1. Browse local parking spaces to rent

Use the search map to browse through parking spaces that are available to rent in your area. Just type in the postcode you want to park in, and you’ll be able to see available spaces and compare prices.

If you can’t find a space in your location or budget, it’s worth expanding your search area to include spaces further afield.

Chances are you’ll be able to save a bit of money by booking a space that’s a bit further out of the city centre or not directly next to the train station. Just think of all the extra steps you’ll get in!

2. Choose the right parking space for you

Whilst location is often the most important factor, remember to double-check the other details on the listing too. Some spaces are bigger than others, so make sure you check the sizes if you have a big vehicle or a van. You’ll also want to check access times. Most spaces are available 24 hours, but some may have specific opening times.

It’s a good idea to send the Host a quick message to ask about any details you can’t find on the listing. Most of Stashbee Hosts will get back to you within 24 hours, so you shouldn’t have to wait too long for an answer.
