Accepting a Request

 Getting a Booking Request

When you receive a booking request, you can either choose to accept or decline it.

The request will expire after 24 hours, so make sure you respond in time. Once you accept, the booking is confirmed and the Guest can start using the space from the booking start date and time.

If you can no longer take a confirmed booking, you can cancel up until the day before its start date. Last-minute cancellations can be disruptive to Guests, so be mindful of that when cancelling.

 Invite to Book

One of the best ways to sell your space is to make a potential Guest feel welcome.

If you get an enquiry and decide you’d be happy to go ahead with a booking, you can encourage the Guest to make a booking by sending them a Booking Invite

Inviting to book is the same as accepting a booking request before the Guest has even made one. We’ll let the Guest know about your invitation, the booking will be confirmed as soon as they put down a deposit.

Remember: You can adjust the booking start date or make the Guest an offer even after you've invited them to book.

 Move-in Checklist

Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll ask the Guest to complete a few extra steps before they move into your space and start their booking.

We do this to protect the booking in case anything goes wrong. The items on the Guest’s Move-in Checklist include:

  1. Paying both the Security Deposit (if applicable) and First Monthly Rental for the space
  2. Signing our Booking Terms
  3. Verifying their account (not required for parking bookings)
  4. Adding an inventory of the items they’re planning to store or details of vehicles being parked

You can view the status of each of these items from the Menu in your booking dashboard.

Remember: If the Guest doesn’t complete their Move-in Checklist by the booking start date, we’ll put the booking on pause.
